Denise Cannefax

Ms. Cannefax joined CDK in 2003 as the controller of property management and was promoted to asset manager in 2009.  She began her career in 1990 as an auditor with a Big Eight accounting firm in Dallas.  Prior to joining CDK Realty Advisors, Ms. Cannefax worked for a mid-sized real estate investment advisory firm for 13 years, where she gained experience as a divisional controller and asset manager of a variety of commercial, retail and mulitfamily properties.

Ms. Cannefax is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Accounting.

Kenneth Cooley

Mr. Cooley is co-founder of CDK Realty Advisors and has been working in the real estate industry since 1977.  He is currently serving as partner where his roles involve marketing and business development, client relations, and asset management functions.

He began his career as assistant manager and controller at Wonderland Mall in San Antonio, TX.  He held several positions throughout his tenure with the management company including general manager, operations manager, vice president of shopping centers, and senior vice president.  He eventually held the position of Chief Operating Officer where he was responsible for all aspects of a portfolio containing ten million square feet of regional, community, and neighborhood shopping centers with a value in excess of $1.5 billion.

Mr. Cooley is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration with a degree in accounting.  He has earned the Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) and Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) designations from the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a licensed real estate broker.

Jon Donahue

Mr. Donahue is co-founder of CDK Realty Advisors and serves as partner where his roles involve acquisition and investment structuring, strategic partner relations, disposition and asset management functions.

His real estate experience started in 1983 where he worked in the national investment sales division at Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate.  Prior to founding CDK, he held the position of Director of Acquisitions at a real estate investment advisory company where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of all of the firm’s value-added properties.  His extensive experience in acquiring, managing, and disposing of retail, office, and industrial real estate had generated activity in excess of $1.4 billion.

Mr. Donahue graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in accounting.  He subsequently received his Masters of Business Administration in real estate.  He is a volunteer firefighter with the Argyle, Texas Fire District and is a licensed real estate salesperson.

Marshall Edwards

Mr. Edwards joined CDK Realty Advisors in 2006 and serves as partner.  He is responsible for strategic partner development.  Formerly the president of Walden Residential he engineered the sale of that company to Olympus Real Estate in 1999 for a price of approximately $1.8 billion.  At the time of sale Walden managed 50,000 apartment units in 12 states.  Prior to Walden, Mr. Edwards was EVP of NHP Real Estate which at the time had one of the largest multifamily portfolios with 100,000 units.  While at NHP he completed the acquisition and development of $1.1 billion of multifamily projects.

Mr. Edwards currently serves on the boards of Validus International, an oil and gas technology company and Apartment Life, a Christian based ministry serving over 300 apartment communities throughout the U.S.  He has served on the boards of the National Multifamily Council, Liberty Mutual Insurance and The Strand Group.  He holds a BBA and MBA from Southern Methodist University.

Brent Kroener

Mr. Kroener is co-founder of CDK Realty Advisors and serves as partner.  His responsibilities include investment structuring and financing, client and strategic partner relations, financial and asset management functions.

His career began in 1974 at a Big Eight accounting firm in Chicago, IL.  During his career he has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at a real estate investment advisory company as well as an independent real estate consultant to a Dallas-based savings and loan association where he provided ongoing operational and accounting management services.  He was an executive vice president and chief financial officer of a mid-sized real estate investment advisory firm with $3.3 billion in assets under management before founding CDK Realty Advisors.

Mr. Kroener is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration with a degree in Accounting.  He later received his Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University.  He is a certified public accountant and a licensed real estate broker.  His professional associations include the National Association of Real Estate Companies, The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and The Real Estate Counsel.

Jo Anne Kroener

Ms. Kroener serves as property manager for CDK’s local office building investments in addition to providing administrative and human resources services for CDK Realty’s corporate headquarters.  With over 15 years of experience in medical office management, Ms. Kroener has extensive experience in staffing, accounts receivable, insurance, implementation of computer systems and project management.

Ms. Kroener holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.

Regina Weaver

Ms. Weaver joined CDK Realty Advisors in 2005 and serves as an asset manager.  She began her real estate career in 1987 at Southmark Commercial as a staff accountant until 1988.  She spent the next 16 years working for a mid-sized real estate investment advisory firm in various roles beginning as a staff accountant and ending as the departmental leader where she was responsible for investor reporting and all accounting functions for the company’s portfolio of investment projects.

Ms. Weaver is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in accounting.  She is a member of Real Estate Financial Executives Association, Commercial Real Estate Women, and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
